Just relax and let him do it in his own time the more you rush them the more trouble you will have my son started training at 2yrs but wasn't fully into it till 3yrs when he started kindy and his friend were doing it society puts to much presure on toilet training and it becomes stressful for mother and child so don't let this be you just give him the time he needs

I tried to toilet train my boy at 2 years and it just did not happen. He hated the potty and would not even sit on it. I kept trying every few months to no avail. It wasnt til he was 3 and a half that i got a toilet seat and he sat on it. He then toilet trained himself with in a week, without me pushing him to go all the time. Within 4 weeks he was fully toilet trained, no accidents, not even over night. I believe some children just do it themselves when they are ready to and no pushing or persuading before then will help. Tho i wish i had of tried the toilet seat a little earlier.

they say boys are harder to train than girls but my little guy wasn't that bad. it took him a while to get the idea of using the potty and we still have our time that he has his accidents but they are getting more rare. what i did was make sure the potty was where he could see it we have a bathroom attached to the living room so i put it right outside the bathroom door and asked him every ten minutes or so if he had to go. the other thing that i was blessed with was a very good daycare mom she is very good at keeping him on track during the day. good luck

When I was teaching at a preschool some of the boys were having this trouble.... One thing that i found that really helped me is to get cherrios and put them in the toilet and tell them to sink the cherrios and if they sink them they get a candy.... by the end of the next month all 6 boys in my class were potty trained..... Good luck

If he is doing a wee then he will in time do the number 2. my son was 2 when i potty trained him and he only did the number 2 in the potty twice and decided to use the toilet, but continued to use the potty for a wee. I used to say to my self the more he see's me going to the toilet he'll just learn and do it when he's ready, after all they will do it, just be patient. hope this helps
