We all did crazy things as kids that looking back were so stupid. What is your favorite thing you did that you would never allow your own kids to do?

When I was about 8 years old me and a few of my friends would go door to door telling our neabors that if they gave us money we would sing a song for them. Than we would sing Christmas songs to them. We would always end up with enuf cash to get a slurpie when we were done and we did it all summer.

Quoting Jamie:

I would say doing drugs as a teen. I think most people have tried them. I think I did it to the extreme, Im not proud of it and some of the situations I found myself in were not good and hope my children never get into them. Sitting at a police station trying to explain how your BF got a hold of someone elses credit card and bought you clothes for 6 hours in not fun. Glad I have been clean for almost 10yrs.

oh yeah jamie i completley agree i went through that as a teen and am definatly not proud of it , i would be horrified if my son did that , that is definatly the scariest , i would hope our relationship would be good enough for him to use communication to explain his problems to me instead of trying to lose them in drugs . i truley believe communication is key to a happy and healthy lifestyle and relationship.

I dont know where to start. I was a big tom boy and have scars to show. I guess I just hope none of my kids pull any of the stunts me or my husband did. I think the most I worry about is the teenage years. We both had experimented with drugs my husband badly. And I was pregnant at 19 but no father to help out. So I guess my main concern is when they get older and not to make the same mistakes. Right now my two boys have done enough accidents for a long time. Although one thing I think of is me and my friends took buckets filled with rocks and tried to hit cars driving by. We hit one and were so excited until he came back and threatened to call the cops. We ran in the house really fast. Now when I think of it I wonder what were we thinking.

That's so funny. My eldest daughter did the SAME thing at about 1 year and a half. Thats when I initiated potty training!

Well, unfortunately I already got my payback.. When I was about 6 or 7, my eldest daughters age, I went to a private catholic school. I was picked up and dropped off by a private van service and taken to this HORRIBLE babysitter who forced us to watch soap operas all day and beat us with a fly swatter.. ARGH! Anyway, One day I decided that I didnt feel like going. So when the van driver dropped me off, I pretended to go in and as soon as he drove away, walked right back out of the building and walked about 8 to 10 blocks back to my own home. Even stopping at the ice cream store for some candy. (I pretended that I was with this weird lady standing just outside the door so the owner wouldnt be suspicious.

Well, about 3 weeks ago, my daughters, ages 5 and 6, who usually walk to school with my neighbor and her son.. decided that they didnt want to be late for their trip that day and because they didnt see my neighbor they walked to school alone. Of course my eldest initiated it and the other just went along. My neighbor called me in a panic because she couldnt find them in the lobby and threw me into a panic. Luckily, I make a habit of keeping their teachers cell phone numbers and the teacher confirmed that they were indeed in school. I was relieved and TOTALLY P.O'd at the same time. But.. You know what they say. Payback is a B****

When i was about 8 my brother, sister and i discovered our shed had been white washed, so we grabbed buckets and sponges and collected a whole lot of milky looking painty water then we filled up a some empty milk bottles (the glass kind) and set up a stall on our street selling "milk" for 2 dollars a bottle. some nice old ladies came along and bought a few bottles and i always wonder if they tried to drink the milk and got a nasty surprise...
Also when i was about 5 i got one of those hanging basket hooks and put it in my mouth and twisted it . i managed to get it caught under my tongue and it locked my jaw open..my parents were so freaked out...i hope my kids never do that. i did plenty of silly things as a kid, those are the first two to come to mind:)

Hahaa, great topic!! Oh geez, where to start...

My sister secretly bought an Oija Board... yikes! My dad ripped it in half when he found it. We also made up a game called "The Crucifier", don't get me started. And yes, I did come from a Catholic family! ;)

We'd also beg my sis to let us ride in the "trunk" of the VW bug as she was driving (the trunks are in the front), this was as a 9 year old kid... she'd drive around with us in the front, waiting to get killed! (shudder)

Apparently when I was around a year of age I had decided to reach into my diaper and paint the walls, crib, floor, anything I could get my hands on with poop.

Yea. That would freak me out. Poop on the walls freaks me out.
