I peed a lot when I was around that far along. I think I read it's the hormones. Basically, it was either because of the hormones or because the uterus is growing and hasn't moved up. I couldn't go for a 5 minute walk without having to go to the bathroom as soon as i reached my destination. After I hit my second trimester, it calmed down until the third trimester.

also your pelvic floor muscles may be a bit out of whack with the pregnancy. i get it too and my pelvic muscles have got really weak during the pregnancy, from fine to weak and im only 20weeks gone. mand x

same here. uti's often don't feel the same as usual when you're pregnant and some women don't get any symptoms at all.

definitely worth getting checked though - it's not good for your baby to leave a uti untreated.

i had this when i was pregnant, it did turn out to be a UTI once and a yeast infection another time. It has a lot to do with the Ph balance being totally out of whack because of ur hormones or so i was told.

this kind of happened to me. I felt like I used to pee and have some pressure behind it. Now I feel like it kind of trickles, stops, then continues. I can't push it out fast enough to feel satisfaction!!

It does sound like the beginning of a UTI - however, a UTI can be easily fixed without prescriptions as long as you catch before it goes to your kidneys or bladder. And you'll know when it does that because it will be very painful. But to stop it from getting to that point - drink LOTS of water and take cranberry pills or drink the cranberry juice...this will be effective if it is a UTI. Also, since women become more vulnerable to UTI's during pregnancy ... make sure that your husband/boyfriend either wears a condom or washes his area before intercourse because you can get a UTI from bacteria and traces of your urine on him. And do NOT hold it, when you have to go...go. Even if you just went 3 minutes ago, the more you pass the better. Hope it improves for you soon.

I had to urinate frequently in the begining with both pregnancies. I am 37 weeks pregnant now. That part I think is normal. I am not sure about the tickling sensation. Maybe call your DR. and ask if its anything to be concerned about. best of luck!!

Sounds like a UTI to me as well. They're more common during pregnancy. I had one in my first trimester, and didn't even notice the symptoms - I assumed the frequent peeing was a pregnancy symptom. UTI's can be quite serious. See the doctor just in case.

I understand.Everyone has input! :) I would try looking it up on web md until you can get into a dr. But it's worth checking out. Hope you figure it out and things go well

I never peed that often when i was pregnant with either of my kids. Besides, your only 12 weeks, i don't think it's pushing on your bladder that bad at this stage in your pregnancy...maybe if u were ready to pop lol. but not 12 weeks

im not thinking its anything serious.. i mean i am prob. peeing alot bc i have a growing uterus with a baby growing in it.. LOL but its weird to explain the feeling.. its like it cuts off when im trying to pee..then it will gradually start back.. WEIRD I KNOW!

Quoting Jesscia:

go to the dr may be a bladder infection or uti

I don't think it is a uti since it is a tickling sensation,I have had those and it doesn't tickle! lol.  but i do agree you should go to the dr if you are going that often
