I am prego with my second and really like the name Emalee. But everyone keeps telling me its too common. My sons name is Aries so we like unique names. But Emalee just keeps getting stuck in my head. We like Parker for a boy, I don't know how common that is either. I also like Cadance for a girl. Any suggestions on girls or boys names would be great!

We are pregnant with our first child and if it's a boy we were thinking about Aiden or Cason with the middle name either Travis or Bryan (Travis Bryan was my brother's name, who passed away in 2005) and if it's a girl we were thinking of Taylor Jean or Avie Elizabeth. Taylor is my maiden name and Jean was my husband's moms middle name and Avie was my grandmother's name and Elizabeth is my middle name and a family name

Hey! Emalee is a great name. It is a common name but the spelling you using is unique. I have never come across with anyone that has it spelled like that. :)

My sons name is Hudson Zander. Hudson is not a common name and we love it. Our girl name was Landry Belle. Not a common name either. Congrats and good luck!

I like the way you spell emalee I have never seen it like that but who cares what people say it is up to you whatever you like. My daughter name is Jaylyn and I got critized about it daily why you giving her a boy name as you can see it is speleld very girlie. But stick to what you like.

I have to boys. My oldest son is 2 and his name is Jay Matthew. My 2nd son is only 6 weeks old and we named him Jett William. But we also liked Xavier James. We liked Charlotte Emily or Megan for a girl.

I went with Abigail Rose for my daughter, since I like classic names. Plus Abby has always been one of my favorites. It's been my experience that if you keep coming back to a name there is a reason for it. Trust your gut, no matter what anyone else says. It's your baby.

Charles but we call him Charlie, or CJ, because his middle name is James. Charlie is cute for a girl too, or Charlize.

I really wanted a unique name as well.I've always loved the name Triton Alecsander for a boy but my guy wasn't to in to it.Then we decided on Jamison Parker. But someone in the family stole it,lol. So I liked Brayden and he liked Jaylen so we compromised and our 22mo old is Braylon Michael. We are thinking of conceiving another so we have Peyton Sawyer (from OTH) or Emjay Lynn if its a girl. The jury is still out for another boy name.

I have a little girl shes 14 months her names Kaylee Eve, we had a hard time choosing her name so in the end my partner & i decided to go with Kaylee, Kay is nathan's mum's middle name & Lee is my mum's middle name so thats how we ended up with Kaylee & every1 asks why we named her that we tell them & they love it.

If we have another one later we are gonna name them Taya Jaye if its a girl & Baydon Reef its a boy.

My Daughter's name is Shianne, I haven't personally met anyone with this name. The traditional spelling is Cheyenne, but we tweaked the spelling so that her first name also was representitive of our mothers names.

I also really liked cassidy, eden, evalynne, and eveyn for a girl.

The boys names I liked were a lot more common - Love Landon, Logan and Ethan...

Good luck with the name search!

We are naming our daughter Isabella Faith. It doesn't sound popular but I've learned its number 2 on the baby names list. We plan to call her Bella. My first choice was Ava Mae, after both of our mothers, but he didn't really like Ava. Bella will be born in August.

when i first got pregnant i thought of a bunch of different names for a girl like emma, sophie, or abby. everone one told me they didnt like them. (i ended up having a boy) but i personally didnt care and u shouldnt either, its your child u have to say the name everyday for the rest of your life not them. so i say go with whatever stays in your head.

I am a mum to 2 little boys. I would like to think that my boy's have slightly unusual names. My eldest son is Harley, he is almost 4. My youngest son is Jayden, he is 10 months.

If either of them were girls i had the names, Miley, Hayden, Ellie, and Mollie.

Hope this helps

My husband wanted to name our son Maximus, but I didn't want him to be called Max, we both liked Mason so we agreed that Maximus would be his middle name. He is Mason Maximus Stafford. I kinda think it has a nice ring to it.

My mom was the queen of common names: Jennifer, Jason, and Jessica. I swore I'd use things a little more unique, but not so strange that the kid gets teased. I like the name Emmalee (which was going to be the middle name of my first). My daughters names are Autumn Elena and Willow MacKenzie.

It shouldnt matter what other ppl think of your child's name as long as you and your significant other like it. You're the ones that will watch your child grow up with that name. Sad to say, those ppl that are tellin you that its too common may not be there in the years to come. Ppl come and go. I like the names and the way you spell Emalee is NOT common so there's some uniqueness for you right there. LOL!

Anyways, my son's name is Jayden. He's 2. I didnt know how common the name was til after I had him but I still love the name as much as I did before. I am now 4 months pregnant with my second child but its my fiance's first. I chose Janiyah if its a girl and he chose J'Xavier for a boy. We're both excited. Took me some time to become accustomed to this pregnancy because I'm only 21 and didnt want to be judged but I have a great and loving man that supports me so who cares right?

I have a 4year old daughter and a son coming in July, I also like unique names. My daughters name is Aunesti Skylar (Aunesti is pronounced Honesty) My sons name is going to be Aidan Samier even though everyone I know do not like the fact that I am naming my son Aidan Im going to name him that anyway because of the fact I LIKE IT. Your childs name should be something you like not everybody else.

I think Emalee is cute. I love unique names as long as people aren't seriously confused by spelling. I love ISLA... which is "i" la... not "is"la... so I don't know how torturing it would be to have people mispronounce it all the time.. My husband picked our daughters name... Jocelyn Eleanor and our boy choice was Bryce or Kamden.... I think its up to you.. popular names change every year... i personally haven't seen your choice and I work at a school.. i see a lot of names.. hope that helps

I have four kids Dylan Andrew Thomas 8 (boy) Clara Mae 4 (girl) Brodie Aleksandr 3 (boy) and Emmett Frank 3 months (boy). I like quite old fashioned names had a lot of trouble deciding on last babies names as wanted something to go with the older siblings. Think i almost drove my husband mad !

Choosing a name can be so stressful. like Emily very traditional and Cadence is a great name! i am sure what ever you choose will be great!

Quoting cheryl:

my daughter's name is Emilia Lynne and very many times we do call her emily, emma, emmy, emm.... we found that the name emilia has not been overly popular since the 1800's.... it was in the top 10 for 2008. my point go with your gut whatever you know is right will work no matter how popular or uncommon the name because your childs shining personality will make her/ or his name unique

I totally agree =0)

my baby girl's name is Serenity Lynn. I had never met anyone named serenity until after my baby was born, now people are always telling me they know someone else named that too. I like Emalee, especially spelled that way. Really you just have to be happy with whatever name you pick.

We have an Aubrey (girl) and Adam (boy). Also liked Alison. Zachery, Anthony, Seth, & Joseph are some boys names I like. Good Luck!
