So my son had his 4 month checkup today. According to his doctor, at 12 pounds and 14.1 ounces, he is in the 12th percentile. I was curious as to what percentile other babies in this community were at this point in their life. I'm not too concerned about his weight cause he was 9 pounds and 14 ounces at his 2 month checkup...so he gained 3 pounds. I figure as long as he is meeting developmental milestones and doesn't appear to be starved/neglected that he is will be fine. He babbles, smiles at people, laughs, and is even trying to roll over. He can get as far as his side. He was even lifting himself way up on his arms. Anyway, I'm a curious person so...yeah. Just curious.

My daughter was in the 2nd percentile at 9.5lbs at 4 months. She was having weight issues despite feeding her on demand and often. She hadn't gained weight since 2 months.

My son was a hefty 14 lbs at 4 months.

My daughter was only a few days early, nothing major. My son was a week early.

My daughter was meeting her developmental milestones, but looked sickly. Her eyes were sunken in and she was pale. We still have no idea why she wasn't gaining weight. In her case just adding solids to her diet allowed her to gain weight. Even then she was only 16 lbs at a year.

Oh! And he was 3 weeks early. Not sure if that makes much of a difference. He was supposed to be born July 4 but instead was born June 14th. He was 6 pounds 14 ounces but dropped to 5 pounds 11 ounces by 2 weeks. After getting some help, he gained most of the weight back in about 3 or 4 days.
