I'm trying not to procrastinate with my daughter's first birthday. I'm thinking of wanting a nice party with family and close friends and kids running around. Don't want to spend a arm and a leg but don't have the space in my apartment. What ideas do you have for me?

Hey Katricia,
You don’t even have to spend a lot for your daughter’s first birthday. She is too small to realize the importance of this celebration. Just invite your family and selected friends. Do not spend much on food; cake, pizza, cookies, shakes, and some fruits will work. Use a lot of balloons for decoration; they are cheap but can give an awesome look to your party.

Thank you all for your responses. I think I forgot to mention that her birthday is in October. lol It would be nice if the weather is nice to have a outside thing, but can't depend on that hope.

I'm having the same problem...my daughter will be 1 on March 21 and I still am debating on what to do....I'll probably just have family and a few close friends and maybe have it at my mom's house because our condo is too small as well. Good luck!

does anyone in your family have a home that they wouldn't mind holding the party at? I know my mother who has a pool let us use her home for the kids birthday parties. Just a suggestion.

Invite close family and friends. And since u live in a small apartment maybe have a bbq at a near by park or lake.
