We are taking our first trip on a plane with our 1 yr and I was just wondering what I can take to keep him occupied? It will only be 2 hours, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas besides feeding him snacks that whole trip.

Make sure to let your baby drink from a bottle or a cup during take off and landing to ease ear popping. You could definitely bring a coloring book and a little baggie of crayons to let him/ her color with different colors. Good luck.

Last Christmas we took our then 1 1/2 yr old to Australia... 3 planes, longest was 15 hours! she was a trooper though and luckily for us slept most of the way. DEFINATELY a blanky or comfort toy, helped her sleep. she liked playing with the window shade, reading the magazines, and of course snacks kept her occupied. if you have a portable dvd player or laptop that helped us a lot too. good luck!

With my son, and our recent trip, i brought my mini laptop, and had shows like Dora, The Backyardagans, Little Bill and others like that on a little external hard drive. As soon as we were allowed to use the lap top i turned the shows on and he was occupied the whole way. i also brought a few books, the ones with the thick pages so he was able to keep himself occupied by "reading" to himself during take-off before we could use electronics, and after we had to turn them off before and during landing. He refused to take a sippy during take-off and landing, so i did bring him a bottle of water just in case. I also took with me a seperate carry on just for him, with a few sippys filled with milk. If you are going to bring sippys with milk or whatever, make sure you give yourself extra time because they will want to take them and test the liquid inside of them. Good Luck
