I also used the nuby ones with the rubber teats that were spill proof of course till your little one bit a hole in it! My little girl hated sippy cups and it took forever to get one she liked, she rather pop top water bottles. I managed to find a lid called Kala's magic spouts, they are hard plastic with a one way valve that is easy to keep clean. If your in America you would have to get them imported though, but they do last forever and great because you can fit them on almost any water bottle. Google it and you can see what i mean

I bought BornFree,Playtex, and Avent. All of which have a handle to be held easier and my DD didn't like any of them. She ended up liking my 2 year old son's Take & Toss sippy cups by First Years. Your daughter is probably still too young for those though.

I just saw a really neat Nuk sippy cup at the store the other day, they're new (at least they didn't have'em when I was trying to get my two year old on the cup!) Anyway, they have a clear soft silicone spout and my almost seven month will actually take it! (He's been a lot pickier than his brother!) My first son loved the Munchkin cups with the silicone spout and has graduated to Nuby's now.

I also used Nuby, but I used the ones with rubber nipples rather than hard ones and then we skipped right over the hard nipple sippy cups and I started using the cups with lids and straws that are no leak. I can't remember what brand they are but he is 2 as of tomorrow and he is one of the only kids I know around that age that drinks from a straw. He started on the rubber nipple sippy cups when he was 6 months. They are more like bottles so he didn't really have any problems.

I used the Nuby bottles and sippy cups. She likes the one with the straw the best and at night now gets a regular nuby sippy cup with formula. I started my daughter at 4 months with a sippy cup....she was off the bottle by 9 1/2 months!
