I am 26 almost 27 and I guess I don't consider myself to be a "young mom". Do you all consider yourselves young moms?

I don't. I am 25 and I had my son 6 months ago, at 25. I have a bachelor's degree and almost have a master's degree, and I have a husband and a job. I didn't feel "young" beforehand, because I had so many responsibilities-so I definitely don't now!

No and I was 20 when I got pregnant with my first and now 22 and pregnant with my second. I think it has more to do with maturity than age. I know mothers older than me whose children spend most of their time with babysitters because they are partying all the time and I know a 21 year old who is expecting her 3rd child who is an amazing stay at home mother. Just depends on what kind of person you are.

well, I don't think I'm old! lol!!! I guess when you consider that 14 and 15 year olds are having babies we're actually somewhere in the middle. We SHOULD be on the young end, tho! I hope my sons don't come to me as teens saying they got a girl pregnant! goodness knows their behinds would be getting an education in adulthood REAL quick!

I consider myself a young-mom. My daughter was born when I was 19. I don't see a 45 year old mom having her first child as being a young mom, but someone from 18-30 I do.

I think it's all a matter of maturity. I'm almost twenty-four and don't consider myself to be a "young mom." But at the same time, I have adult responsibilities now, and I have lost contact with several of friends my age because they don't have them. Also, a lot of women now want to have careers first, then families; so they're starting them much later--mid to late 30s. So in societies eyes, we are "young moms"..we just don't feel like it :)
