peppermint, ginger and saltines! also- an extra hint when i was having morning sickness i found that if i kept a pack of crackers by my bed and ate a few before i even got out of bed it helped considerably. good luck!

everyone is different, but i tried crakers and ginger ale and cube cheese before i even got out of bed. i made my roomies get it for me before i even put my feet on the floor. it helped most of the time.

Quoting Deli:

I agree, it's different with everyone. I tried saltine crackers and that just made things worse. I ended up trying Ritz Crackers and those have a better taste and better effect. I kept those next to the bed and munched on them before I got up. My doc suggested to snack all day and that would help. I've also seen (but never got to try) some lollipops that help with the morning sickness. they are over the counter ones. hope you feel better!

i forgot about those lollipops! i heard about them AFTER my pregnancy lol

I suggest getting some meds. I used Zophran which worked wonders! Just take one every 12 hours and it keeps the nausea away. And of course it will do no harm to baby. It's pretty in expensive as well. Good luck!

Keep saltine crackers, dry toast, or anything dry at your bedside. When you wake up in the morning before getting completely up, nibble on these. Also, drink sprite or clear sodas. Always try to keep something on your stomach. Every little bit helps. Keep snack bars, snack crackers, anything in your purse to eat throughout the day. Every little nibble will help you get the vital nutrients your body need and the smaller meals will not upset your stomach as bad.

I had nausea for my entire pregnancy. I had to take a presciption medication called Diclectin at night before bed- it was the only way I could wake up and not feel sick. Also peppermint tea, honey lemon tea and plain crackers helped.

Peppermint tea or hard peppermints really helped me. As did not taking my prenatal vitamin until midway through lunch. I know ginger helps lots of women, but it just made me more sick, as did saltines. I know Preggie Pops (which are sold at most maternity stores as well as Babies R Us) helped one of my best friends. If it's really bad, talk to your doctor about other options and remember that eventually, it'll get better!

I am 4 months pregnant, and for the 1st trimester i was nauseus all the time..so i found that filling a cup w/ ice and lemon juice or lime juice with some water, and just sipping on it and eating the ice, really really helped me:) good luck, everyone is different..

1/2 a Unisom and a B6 vitamin is what my doctor told me to do, i was throwing up night and day with my first child. it was AWFUL. or suck on candy canes, peppermint is a natural stomach easer.

As gross as it may sound don't brush your teeth 1st thing in the morning Use some mouthwash or gum/mint when you get up & wait for at least an hour or so after you get up before you brush your teeth. I had really bad morning sickness(I was sick for 6 out of the 8 months I was pregnant) I wish my doctors would've told me this. I learned it from my sisters when they had their babies. Good Luck & remember even if all the little tricks don't work it will get better

I'm lucky and never had morning sickness but I have a friend who had it really bad! What worked well for her was saltine crackers and sprite. I think that it vary's from person to person. The good thing is... this too shall pass :) Good luck and best wishes!

For me, not eating makes me feel less nauseous...my friend has to eat a lot of small meals all day long...my sister eats crackers...another friend actually eats something kind of greasy to keep her from being sick...all four of us are due within a month or so of each other...just try something different everyday, either you'll find what works for you or you'll be over your morning sickness before too long (hopefully!)
