6 weeks then start off slow. Your still healing so you will tire more easily.

Hi Davaline

I have had 2 c-sections. I would recommend that at your 6-8week check up that you talk to your doctor about how you are healing and what exercises you can do. I started with walking at around 8weeks after both my boys. And only after about a month of that moved on the strength training combined with walking. The doctor will explain to you that moderate exercise with no heavy lifting is whats best and then starting a strength training program to build up your muscles again is all you will need to do. It may take you a while to feel comfortable exercising, i would just recommend staying clear of heavy lifting for a while as it can damage all your stomach muscles which will still be healing. Hope that helps. Goodluck

I think it really depends how quick you heal. I wasn't able to do much for about 2 months. I mean i could do my normal daily things but they don't want you exercising until your completely healed bc of the complications you can have do to tearing on the inside. I would stay away from sit ups or anything to do with the lower abdomen just until your healed all the way!
