My little momma is pulling up on everything. I wonder how long it will take her to start walking. She is 6 months (will be 7months on the 21st). I know it is early but she is so freaking good at it. So moms with older babies when did you baby start walking and what were the 1st signs.

my son took his first steps the week after he turned 10 months. Hes 11 1/2 now and has just started getting good at it. he was pulling up and walking while holding onto things around 6 months before he could even crawl we thought he was going to skip crawling but he didn't lol

My son was doing that exact same thing around the same age, but he didnt start walking until he was 10 months old. He was crawling at 5 months. I think it was because he was so fast at crawling that there was such a long transition to walking. Now at 12 months he can run.

My son was like 15 or 16 months before he started walking. He was a pro though! He pretty much never fell down once he started walking. When he was like 1 I kept thinking, man when is he gonna walk? But once they start walking you're just like oh God, stop walking everywhere!

Well my 1st did not walk until 18 months, my second 12 months and my 3rd 14 months. My aunts baby who is the same age as my 2nd started walking at 9 months. So it is possible you little could start walking very soon. If she does not don't worry she will and it will turn your world upside down. Enjoy and treasure every moment you can with her.

my daughter was 8 1/2 months when she started walking on her own. but that is really early. 10-13 months is the norm for most babies.

My daughter was 6 months when she crawled and 9 months when she started pulling on furniture but didn't walk till she was 12 months. Every child is different and there weren't many signs.

My son is 2 1/2 now and started walking when he was 10months old. He pulled up on stuff. Then he started standing for a few seconds at a time. Then he would walk with me holding his hands. Then one day, he just got up and walked across the room. But every baby is different.

Lily started pulling up at 6 months too and believe it or not was walking less than 3 months later. 9 months and 2.5 weeks to be exact!!!! Never looked back. I just knew she was going to do it as she was so frustrated sitting still and crawling was a breeze...your daughter could well be on her way soon. Lily was cruising at 6.5-7 months, so anywhere she could hold on she would go! It was so cute...but be warned...early walkers are very very mischevious!

My son started pulling himself up at around 6 1/2 months, was cruising the furniture about a month later, and was full on walking at 10 months. My son was really motivated to be mobile. He hated staying in one spot, so once he started crawling, he flew through all the other stages pretty quick! Good luck :)

My daughter started to pull up and cruise on her 7 month b-day and took her first steps about a week before her 9 month b-day. She's been a walking machine ever since. Sometimes I get a little sad because now that she can walk around she never really wants to be held and cuddled.

girls dont always develop quicker then boys. Eric was always a step ahead of my friends daughter even though she was a month older. I myself walked at 11 months and my husband walked at 9 1/2 months and our son walked at 9 months. so boys can develop faster then girls sometimes. theres no true rules about it :)

I know girls learn faster than boys. My son is 13 months and is still not walking they say it can take up to 18 months for boys. But most babies start walking any where around 8 to 11 months.

my daughter started crawling & pulling up at 9 months & started furniture cruising at 9.5 months & walked at 10.5 months. She would take a hand off the furniture at 10 months & walk the furniture then as she got more confident she began to take both hands off the furniture. then at 10.5 months she was able to do it by herself for a few steps now at 13 months she's running!

M daughter was a late bloomer. She didn't start pulling herself up till around 11 months. Crawled at 10 months, walked a 14 months. For both crawling and walking she showed no signs she just one day decided she wanted to. She's now 18 months and walking and talking :) enjoy the no walking life was so much more calmer then lol

My daughter started walking around 9 1/2 almost 10 months. She was pulling up probably 7 months was trying to take steps by herself round 8 1/2 months. But was full blown walking by 9 1/2 10 months. If your child is anything like mine and VERY CLUMSY you have lots of bumps and bruises. I don't know how many times she would scare the crap out of me, but she always had to do things on her own. :)

But my son is deffinently a late bloomer! lol But i'm sure that time for your daughter is getting closer so good luck!

So its very different for every kid.

Good luck!

with my first he was crawling and and pulling up on things at 6 months also, it then at round 8 months he take `running`` steps in between the couch and coffee table, but he was comfortable walking at around 10 months or so. Our second just got really mad one day (for being left behind by his brother) and got up and started walking (a couple steps) but he never pulled himself up on anything but was still walking by 11 months.

Eric crawled at 6 months, pulled up at 7 months cruised at 7 months and walked just after 9 months. One day we went to visit a friend whose son was just walking and that night Eric stood alone for the first time, the next day he took his 1st step, the next day he took 6 steps. about 2 weeks later he had stopped crawling entirely. 3 weeks after his 1st step he was able to walk through the stores with me and not want to be carried much. By 10 months he could squat down to pick something up and stand back up unassisted. Now he is 15 months and he is running, walking backwards, walking in circled, creeping w/ bent legs, climbing everything and trying so hard to jump :)

Once my son started "cursing" (walking while holding onto something) it took a little over a month for him to take his 1st steps. Then about one month after that he started walking confidently by himself. He was 11 months when he started walking.

My son started crawling at when he was almost 5 months. But he didnt start walking until he was about 13 months. When I say walking, I mean unassisted. He was holding on to stuff and walking around by 6 months. But there are no signs...I thought since he crawled early he would walk early too.

Both of my kids started to walk unsupported next day after their first birthdays. The best not to force your infant to walk because of their legs are not strong enough and it can cause some damage to their bones.

oh it sounds like she will start walking very soon. caylee (my daughter) started walking at 9 1/2 months. she started pulling and standing at around 9 months, and just went fast. she would use daddy for her platform...pull on his pant leg to get up then slide along him to walk...

my son was cruising the furniture by 7 months and was really stable. He walked at 11 months ( thats considered early). Average is between 12-18 months. Some babies walk at 9-10 months. Trust me on this one, the later the better, because you want your baby to be more stable and not clumsy and falling all over the place. And also enjoy your rest, because once she figures it out she is gone and you will be chasing her 24/7 , its like running a marathon everyday, and also having a heartattack every second in fear they are gonna fall and hurt themselves, my son climbs on to the table and walks along it. Just let her walk when she is ready, dont pressure her, it will discourage her. Enjoy this time it wont last long. i miss the days I could sit him down and play with him and be able to turn around for even a second
