When did you give your child peanut butter? We have no known allergies to nuts in our family....

i waited until my son was a year. i was in the military until he was about 15 months, and his dr always said after 1 year. he didnt actually get it until 17 or 18 months when my parents gave it to him, and then i just watched him for a couple hours to make sure he wasnt allergic.

i know what you mean! i still haven't given my daughter anything 'nutty' and she's 2 now... 2 b honest i think personnally i wouldn't give my daughter peanut butter anyway cus it's so sugary & fatty, never mind the peanuts...?

She is almost 18 months and at my last appt the Dr (we have a different one each time thanks to the military) said it was okay- just wondering when the average timeframe was. I had read 2 or 3...

I've gotten mixed reviews on this subject myself. I've been told 1 years, 2 years and 3 years since having my son 10 months ago. To be certain I would check with your childs doctor. Good luck!

We just gave our son peanut butter, just a little at a time, we only gave him about a tablespoon then waited a few hours to see what happened??
