My son is almost 7 months and is getting his first teeth. His two bottom teeth are coming in together. (thank goodness!) Just curious when everyone else's kid got their teeth. Any teething tips are welcome too!

My daughter was 6-7 months when she cut her first teeth, also. They were her bottom ones and came in at the same time. I can HIGHLY reccommend Highland's teething tablets. They're usually found on the baby isle somewhere. Usually close to the top shelf. They're about $5 and work SO well. Hayley's almost 17 months now and anytime her teeth are bothering her, she asks for "messin" (medicine). I don't have to worry about giving her medicine if I don't know for a fact it's her teeth because they're homeopathic. They also make a teething gel but I haven't tried that. I just happened to see it on the shelf the other day. Good luck!

First two daughters didn't get their first teeth until 12 months, but my youngest started around 9 months...now that my oldest is 8, she is finally losing most of her baby teeth, but is way behind most of her classmates! The dentist assures us this isn't all THAT uncommon... :)

Each baby is different. My son cut his first 2 teeth at 3.5 months, with no pain. It was like he literally woke up with teeth! They cut in pairs and by the time he was 8 months old, he had 8 teeth! My daughter is 7 months old today and cut her first 2 teeth at 3 months. It's incredibly long and painful for her while the teeth are cutting through. Her top teeth still haven't cut through and it's been bothering her for months! Something that works really well for her is to put coated baby spoons in the freezer. They don't take long at all to get cold and it helps her the best. You can hold it yourself or put the spoon in a baby sock for him to hold.

my daughter was 6 months with her first, but got 3 at a time just a month later and had 6 by the time she was a year old...she had another spurt of 4 at a time a couple months after that...seems like they're all different (just like with everything else right?)

my son started teething (no joke) when he was 3 months old and didn't get teeth till about 8 months... he is now 16 months and has almost all of them! he gets the fever and crankyness.. probably just feels lowsy and hurts. after i've ruled out that anything else is wrong with him i use tylenol and teething tablets and he's fine for most of the day.

My daughter didn't get her first one until she was 12 months old. She gets 2 to 3 teeth at a time. Right now she is cutting 4 of her molars.

We're STILL waiting. Hannah is 9 months and there's no sign of a little tooth popping through any time soon :) her sister didn't get her first tooth till she was 10 months so i think she's following in her foot steps.

My daughter's first tooth came in at 10 weeks, but the second didn't come until a couple of weeks ago, when she was a little over 5 months! I had my mother's group and my own mum asking every week if the second tooth had come in yet - I guess most babies tend to get the bottom teeth in pairs. Bonjela gel works well, as does just letting her chomp on her favourite toy.

My son was about 7mths as well. He tended to get two teeth at once. Each child will differ. A friend of mine has a 15mth old daughter and she has only now got her first tooth!

my girl got her first tooth( a bottom one) at about 5 1/2 months, the second a week later. And at almost 10 months has finally gotten her first top tooth.  As far as teething pain, I used a wet cool wash cloth...and when it got real bad a sugar free popsicle...it worked great, but messy.

My son was 7 months when he got his first 2 teeth which were his tops. His second set came in with 3 weeks and they were the bottoms. I think every child is different when it come to when they get their teeth. I use baby oragel for my son and it works great.
