i have an 8mth old son, and he has never realyy been a good feeder, but since starting him on solids, it has been getting worse, and ive tried adding to his foods and making he take in as much as possible, but it's soo not working, and nows days i'll be lucky if he'll even have half the bottle though the whole day, am i able not worry about it? or will this affect his health in anyways? anyone have a simular experance?

I had the same problem.I have a 9 month old daughter who was breast fed but now that I am trying to get her to take a bottle and formula she refused at first. She wants everything everyone else has. Since she wasn't drinking the formula I began mixing it with the rice or oatmeal cereal. The doctor said this works just as well. Just try to get her to take at least 16 oz a day. It was difficult at first but now she is getting used to it so she actually has started to drink out of the bottle. It took a couple of weeks though to get her used to the taste. They shouldn't start drinking regular milk till they are one because there digestive system can't handle it yet so try to hang in there for a couple more months.

My daughter did the same thing. I suggest you put finger foods out for him things that he tends to like and let him snack on them trough the day, my daughter seemed to rebel when we put her down for a meal but when we let her eat as she pleased it went better, she also gave up the bottle and thats why I tried this.
