My son is 3 and doesn't use any diapers during the day nor when he takes his afternoon nap. But at night, the diaper still needs to be on. How do I stop that as well?

Just takes time. When his diapers are dry in the morning praise him this will encourage him to try more often to be dry when he wakes.

You could try switching from diapers to pull up's wake him up before you go to bed and get him to go toilet.

Or you could buy a plastic protector sheet for the mattress and just see how he goes without the diapers. You may be surprised.

Night training takes a bit longer for boys than for girls but they all get there in the end. A child wont stop night wetting until the hormone that slows urine production kicks in.

Hang in there it wont be long now and he will be fully out of diapers.

I have a son who is 3, and is the same doesn't need in the day but at night he does. I also have two older girls 7 and 4. Both girls stopped having nappies at night by the time they turned 3. I have found that boys take abit longer. When I stopped putting nappies on the girls, was when they had no wet nappes for a week or two. You need to stop drinks about 2hrs before bed. I give a small drink off water just after brushing there teeth and that's it. I found that the 3 year old is getting close to stopping. Some nights are good and others there is only one wee in his nappy. Don't worry if it takes awhile every child is different. Hopes it help?

hi nathalie my son was the same and i had to encourage him to go the toilet at night. if he is not wearing one during his afternoon then i suggest you let him drink one hour before bed and make sure he goes to the toilet before bed and he should be fine, you may get a few accidents cos i did but your nearly there

hope this helps
