When to stop sterilizing bottles?...6mths? 12mths?

[deleted account] ( 2 moms have responded )

My daughter is 9mths old and I am still sterilizing her bottles. She is crawling now-goes to childcare and also does swimming lessons once a week...Do any of these activities warrant me to stop sterilizing her bottles or am I being too fussy with her bottles? I sterilize her bottles for formula and also her bottles for boiled water that she drinks from too. Please help!

I've never sterilized my daughter's bottles. I soak them in hot water with mild dish soap but that's it... She's 4 months now and there's never been an issue. :)

I don't really know the answer to that question but I always just washed them in the dishwasher and that seemed to work.
