So yesterday I listened to this parenting panel (MarsHillpodcast) and one of the rules a mom proposed was any request made by her child with whining or a fit the answer was an automatic NO. Just wondering what you all think? I mean what if they are whining to use the restroom??

if they're whining to use the restroom then by all means take them!!! but as far as just plain whining for anything else i agree...ignore it until they can ask in a normal, nice way! unless my daughter is extremely overtired and already had a long day then i will let it slide and just get whatever she wants. but lately she's been whining a lot and i can't stand it! so i tell her that until she can ask in a big girl voice then she can't have whatever it is she wants. and sometimes it takes a few minutes but i hold firm and eventually she asks me nicely.
