Debating on whether its me or them. Often feelings, inadaquate or smaller than the other older moms. Is it because of being a young single mother of three, at a private catholic school? One things for certain, all of the kids adore me which means the world to me.

If you feel inadequate or smaller, it is your perception. Unless someone has said anything specific, then it can only be your perception. You are allowing yourself to feel this way.

With regard to genuine friendships, I have trouble having genuine friendships with people 15 or 20 years my junior, so it would make sense that you would have problems making genuine friends with people that much older than you. It's not that I look down on those people, but let's be honest, we were raised in different times, have different understandings of things, different interests, our "in jokes" are different, and so on. It is an entire generation of difference.
