My nearly 10 month old daughter gets it a little on the bad side. So far I've used Pentatin mixed with Vaseline. I smear ti all over and so far it's prevented any flair ups. Possibly someone knows of a home made remedy? I would also like to know what I can use in her water during bath time. OTHER THAN baby oil, or any Johnson's products for that matter..thanks, your suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

Hi Amanda, i have eczema myself and i found that baby oil makes mine worse, i would suggest  Aqueous cream BP, it works for me, and my daughter started of with dry skin and it cleared it up.

I've found some information on Aqueous cream BP for you, just type or copy and paste this link into the address bar at the top.

Thanks so much for all your suggestions! I've been using Baby Aveeno hair and body wash and so far it seems to be ok.

My 5yr old son has had eczema since he was 9mth old and the only creams that work for him is oilatum in his bath and he soaks in that for 15-20 mins then instead of sope coz that can irritate the skin i use epaderm which is very good coz after a bath you can use it as a cream. And also try and wash babys things in sure care washing powder it's great for skin with eczema. Hope that helps you x

I use the Avon Oatmeal Bath for My 4 year old who still gets dry skin every once in a while, but when he was young I used the Aquaphor.

My son is 3 1/2 months, and he gets eczema, too. We found that Aquaphor works really well for him. We don't put anything in the bath water, just let him soak before we put on the Aquaphor. We only wash him with soap about once a week.

I use Cetaphil...the cream is better than the lotion. They also have a body wash. It says for all ages. I use it on myself and my sister uses it on her daughter. She also uses Eucerine for extreme dryness (it is really thick). She applies it in the morning, night and after a bath.

The two best things I've found are Aquaphor and, believe it or not, Bag Balm. Especially in the diaper area. Doesn't burn or further irritate.
