Yogurt safe for 7 month old?

Im visiting an older friend and shes always saying I dont feed my baby enough. She has a schedule and besides formula I feed her baby gerber foods inbetween, and cereal. My friend gave her yogurt yesterday and she loved it. Ate the whole container and still had a whole bannana afterwards. I was scared her stomach was going to hurt but later at night she wanted a bottle. I get that she likes to eat alot more now, but is it safe to feed her yogurt? I've let her taste 'adult' food, but she's never actually had something like that for a meal.

My daughter has eaten yoghurt for ages. She is now 14 months & has normal yoghurt but here, they have a baby's range of yoghurt that is easier on bubs tums.

I was always obsessive when it came to feeding my son, who is now 3. I could never understand why Gerber made yogurt, I didn't think they were supposed to have it. Well, my brain is mush right now, so I can't remember why, but yogurt IS ok. Sorry I don't have the info to back it up! :) You can use any brand of yogurt, it doesn't have to be YoBaby or anything special for babies/kids. Of course, I started out giving him plain yogurt, but then I gave him yogurt with fruit. He loved it. I gave it to my daughter as well, she is 1, but she didn't like it. I gave them yogurt around 8 mos with my son, 6 mos with my daughter and they never had upset stomachs/diarrhea or anything with it.

As for your friend saying your daughter doesn't eat enough, just ignore her. People will always tell you what you're doing "wrong." Formula and baby food/cereal? Sounds like she's got a good variety.
