do you get people who are older than you look down their nose at you because you are a young mum? i hate it when it happens so tell them everything i do for my child in a very sarcastic way so they turn away!

anyone else had the same thing?

Oh yeah. Especially the women my mom work with (at a restaurant). I'll take my son for lunch and to see his grandma and I barely ever get to just enjoy it because all the older ladies come up and want to give me advice the whole time and ask questions then tell me why my answers are wrong. Even worse is when someone only a couple years older than me thinks they should give their input just because they had a baby 6 months before me. It's one thing to try to help when I ask, it's another to tell me that Im wrong in my parenting just because I don't do things their way. So aggravating!

Yes, all the time. Even more so since I'm not married so there is no ring on my finger. And then I have the people thinking they have to offer their advice because I'm obviously not capable of mothering my child without their help. But you just have to ignore it, they don't know who you are or what you are capable and they aren't important anyway
