My son is 2 1/2 and is going to day full time and has been since he was 6 weeks old, we did have a change in the day care he attends; but I am wondering something. My husband and I have tried giving our son rewards for going potty and he used to get on the pot but now we can't. He has been using the school potty. I am just looking for some thoughts as to why this maybe. Thank you for your time.

He is a smart boy, I guess I am just wondering if there was anything else I could praise him with. Stickes, and candy don't work. I even gave me a sticker and he said no I don't want one and went on playing. Don't get me wrong I am happy that he is using the potty, he's only gone at home twice when he was into it. I even bought a doll and he got mad that the doll was using his potty.

Because your son can. For the same reason he will eat something one day and not the next. It is one of the few things he can control. You can relax in knowing he can - so there is nothing "wrong" with him. I know this doesn't help solve the problem. But your son is compeltly normal and this is normal behavior.
