Did anybody's wrist start to hurt after giving birth? Or does anyone have carpal tunnel? Any homeopathic remedies to help?

Ok. I'm sorry I didn't get to this yesterday.  Anyway, here is what the Essential Oils Desk Reference says about Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (p. 261-262 in the pocket reference)

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Nerves pass through a tunnel formed by wrist bones (known as carpals) and a tough membrane on the underside of the wrist that binds the bones together.  The tunnel is rigid, so if the tissues within it swell for some reason, they press and pinch the nerves creating a painful condition known as carpal tunnel syndrome.  This condition is primarily sports-related or due to activities that involve strenuous or repeated use of wrists.  A similar but less common condition can occur in the ankle or elbow.

Peppermint, basil, cypress, lemongrass

Other Single Oils:

PanAway, Relieve It

Carpal tunnel blend:

5 drops wintergreen

3 drops cypress

1 drop peppermint

2 drops marjoram

3 drops myrrh

NEAT or DILUTE 50:50 as required, apply 2-4 drops to affected area 3-5 times daily

COMPRESS, cold, on location 2-3 times daily

Sulfurzyme, Mega Cal, Mineral Essence

Topical Treatments:

Regenelone, NeuroGen, Ortho Ease

Again, I use only Young Living oils, as I know they are safe.  They (YL) also have a new roll-on oil out called Deep Relief that contains many oils, but one new one called Copal.  This product is fantastic.  My father had surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his knee and was in quite a bit of pain  post-op.  Well, my mom rolled some of the Deep Relief on location and he could not believe how quickly it felt better.  It actually helped more than his rx pain medication.

I hope this helps some. If you'd like more information, please don't hesitate to let me know!

I am so sorry I haven't responded before now. I had gotten notifications before when something was posted, and I didn't get one when you posted your question.  I have carpal tunnel myself, although mine was worst during my pregnancies, not after.  I will post the recommendations that are listed in my Essential Oils Desk Reference when I get home from my MOPs meeting.  I can tell you that because essential oils are so good at oxygenating the blood, they really help with circulation in general.  Mine comes and goes, and I personally haven't done anything consistently, but it's actually acting up a little now, so I'll have to start a regimen and see if something helps me and let you know.

So, I'll be back to write more later!
