Babies eating Table Foods

[deleted account] ( 5 moms have responded )

I think we have saved alot of money by only feeding our now 13 month old table foods and never buying Prepared Baby foods.

That's is very good for your child too. This way you know what's in the food, due to you making it. Your child can help prepare the meal with you. Children love mixing if they help make it they will surly eat it.

Suzie, stage three foods are really just chunky mashed foods. You could just mash foods with a fork or if you happen to have a food processor that will work too. You know what your child can handle, so mash accordingly. Best wishes

I agree!! I really figured this out when my youngest daughter refused to eat jar food. So I just started to give her small mashed up portions from my plate. It not only saved money but it was healthier too. I wish I had thought of this for the first 3!! haha

I think that is a GREAT way to save money! We do the same thing. Tastes so much better, too. Mash up that food with a fork, or use a food grinder or blender. If it's too thick,do what those baby-food-makers do, and add a little liquid of some sort - water, milk, juice, depending on what food it is. Some easy food to mash up, that are good for starting solid food - Bannanas, boiled potatos of any kind - sweet potatos are always a favorite - cooked carrots, canned peaches.

Good one Anna!
