Does anyone know of a cheap and effective stain treater? I tried vinegar on my socks but it doesn't work well.

Borax is very inexpensive. You can find it by the stuff like Biz and Chlorox 2. Also Dawn Dishsoap seems to get out alot of stains even shout won't touch

I found a product called Zout that works amazing. It works on blood, grass stains and got out awful baby spit up stains. Try it, its great

I use Snap Household cleaning products. They are vegetable based, eco friendly (no phosphates), concentrated (a little diluted with water goes a long way), super effective and inexpensive (the most expensive product costs $10.50 and replaces over 200 bottles of cleaner, The dishwashing liquid cleans 350 sinks of dishes, etc.). These products and info on them can be found online at On the home page, you will see a window with 7 tabs that cycle automatically. The Snap products can be found on tab 4. There is an interactive room that allows you to see which products can be used in the various parts of your home, including the laundry on the right side, the bathroom, etc.

If you scroll down a bit from the room, there is a link that says, "See all products from Snap" Click this link to see everything in the line. The all purpose natural concentrate is great for removing stains and as a laundry prewash. Click on any of the products and click view product demo to find out more on each product. I cannot live without the heavy duty concentrate. It took blueberry stains, nail polish stains and coffee stains out of carpet instantly. It can even be used in steam cleaners. The Snap line is so effective, cleaning services use them and the disinfectant cleaner is so good, it is used in hospitals, food plants, and so many more places where cross contamination is an issue.

You can clean your home, office or wherever while saving the planet and saving money. The Snap line provides a great, natural option that actually works. There are even auto care products that are also environmentally friendly! I hope this helps. If anyone has any questions, feel free to send me a message.

this may sound crazy! but i SWEAR it works. i use it on every stain and have yet to see something it cant get clean. (i have a very independent 1 yr old, so I deal with stains ALL the time) anyway, the product is Clorox Bathroom Cleaner. its amazing, and you can also use it to clean the rest of your house. its bleach free, so no worries about ruining anything.

Dawn dishsoap!! It is my new favorite cleaning tool! My daughter who is 17 months fell and got blood on a shirt, I didn't clean it for about 2 hours and it came out! I also found a shirt that of hers that my husband put in the dirty clothes a couple of days before I washed it that had chocolate on it...rubbed Dawn on it and let it sit about 15 min and it came out! Hope it helps!

I made my own powder laundry detergent but I think I'll make some with oxyclean in there next time. Or rather, sun oxygen cleaner. Even cheaper! I forgot about that. Thanks! For now I'll just put the sun oxygen cleaner in separately. Anyone got more ideas?!

Andrea, I shop at an online store for most of my household and personal care products and save a ton of money. I've never seen products work as well as these and in addition to saving a few hundred dollars/yr I also get a thank you check just for being a customer of the store. It is so cool! If anyone would like more info on shopping at the store, just message me and I'll give you the info you need. I don't keep stuff like this a secret!
