it's much cheaper to cook in bulk than in smaller quantities so if you have the freezer room cook enough to make dinner for a couple of nights or several lunches as well as dinner and freeze the extra portions so you have a freezer full of lunches ready to take to work each day. This saves us about $70 a week.

I always cook too much so I dont have to cook as much in the following few days, for example our dinner salads are huge and last a few days for snacks and lunch in the fridge :)
