I lost my daughter last year at the age of two and a half of sudden heart rejection. She had a heart transplant at the age of six months and was doing really well, her death was really unexpected. We are now expecting a baby 5 days before the first anniversary of our daughter's death. How on earth will I cope with the emotions of having a new baby and grieving over the loss of my daughter? I would be really grateful if anyone could give advice or share experiences.

Anniversary's will always be hard no matter what...I wish I could offer some magic words for you but all I can say is let your heart cry, let your heart rejoice your new baby...and you'll be in my prayers.

I have adopted 3 children after the death of my son (5years ago), I call the emotional overload "joyful pain." The joy of see a new baby or child growing and becoming every dream you had for the one you lost, yet the pain of not having the other child. The death of a child make a mother stronger than most...I suggest you cry...cry and then cry some more...you have already endured the hardest thing in your life..you are in my prayers.

hi my name is alison & i lost my son zac about 1 1/2 years ago, he was only 13 months old & he passed away from a car accident my mum was in & i lost her too, then i fell pregnant again with another boy his little brother blake(pictured here with me) & i ended up having him 19 hours before zacs 2nd birthday which was the 14th of october & i had blake on the 13th of october, its was a hard time for me, but i'm trying to stay strong, i haven't seen a doctor about it or anything like that yet but i just like to talk to as many family & friends as i can about it, & it seems to work,my boy blake is now 7.5 months old & brings me so much joy, so i wish you the very best of luck with the safe arrival of your new baby...
