What is the best way to cope with anxiety when you have a 3 year old who doesn't listen and a husband who works 9 hours a day and doesn't care about anyone but himself?

Try to be patient with them... and kind to yourself. Grab a moment for yourself here and there when you are able. When it all seems like it's just too much to handle, take a deep breath and know that you are worth the effort it takes to maintain sanity. It's easier said than done, but it is very possible. Children pick up on our anxiety and run with it. Very soon, you'll be able to tell your son that you need a "mommy time-out". My sons knew that when Mom said she was "having a moment" that it was time to be quiet and tone down their behavior. I have a little girl now that is not quite 3, so I'll be back to square one. I hope that you don't have alot of work stress on top of everything else. Good luck in the future! Angel

Are you referring to your own anxiety? or that in your son?  My 6 year old has a terrible time with anxiety, which is why I'm asking.  ~gentle hugs~ Ashleigh
