diaper changes

My 20 month old has been fighting me and my husband for every diaper change, is this normal? He cries and whines and turns himself over to where his butt is up in the air. There's got to be an easier way.....and is this a stage?

My son is also 20 months, and has been fighting with us for diaper changes for months. I read this is a stage. I will be glad when this stage is over, too!!!!

I always keep a couple of toys or objects handy to give to him. He loves to "look them over." Usually it works best to give him something for each hand. I, also, tickle him to get him to turn over.

But basically, diaper changes just have to be quick. Then he is a boy so since he was little I learned to work fast in order to not get a fountain. LOL

I thought the pull-ups idea is a good one.

Good luck!!!!

by that age, my boys would not lay for a change either, so we switched to a pull-up. That way we only had to lay them down for a poopy one.
