I'm clueless on how to deal with this, can anyone give me advice on how to get a handle on this?

Well, it's very common for someone with TS to have comorbid conditions such as adhd, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder...etc. My son has TS, mild anxiety, and adhd. He also has cognitive delays, speech problems, and other things not related necessarily to TS.
I know it can be very stressful, for both you and your child. All I can say is patience, patience, patience! Easier said than done, I know. I hope you have a doctor that you trust and like. What does the doctor have to say about this? We had to put our son on medication for the adhd, but it was for the best. His teachers noticed a difference when we did. I'm the type of person that uses medicine as a last resort, but I'm glad we made the decision to try the meds. It took a couple of tries, but we did find one that works best for him. He takes 60mg of Strattera once a day. I just finished reading a book that covers brain disorders and it included TS and adhd. I found the part on adhd very helpful. It's called "It's Nobody's Fault" by Harold S. Koplewicz, M.D.
You should check it out. Hope this helps!
