My little miracle!

[deleted account] ( 6 moms have responded )

Hi! We managed to conceive our beautiful little daughter after 3 years and i suffer with PCOS. We were referred to the fertility clinic but they werent willing to help until i lost 4 stone (to be in the "normal" category of the BMI scale.

I worked extremely hard to lose weight and just before i was due to go back to the clinic i found out i was pregnant - and we did it without any help. we were so overjoyed and when Daisy was born on 18th Feb 2009 it was the proudest and happiest time of my life! I'm just hoping i can have another baby in the future.

Has anyone else's PCOS "cured" itself after giving birth? i've read somewhere that the condition can do this.

I am 25. I have endometriosis and PCOS. I was told that I would have to be on fertility drugs to become pregnant. Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost 3 years. We never used any sort of protection and I was convinced I could just never have kids. By sheer accident I found this book from http://pregnancyhours.com and I started following all the methods in there. 2 months later, I have missed periods before. My last period was September 10th. I never got my period in October and I thought it was just another month I was going to skip. 2 days ago I took a pregnancy test and it came up a big fat positive. Then sometimes that I have felt are sore boobs after missed period, fatigue, gums bleeding, mild cramping, strong sense smell, and nausea. I thought I was getting the flu.I just wanted to give hope for all the women out there who would love to have children and think they can't. God bless and baby dust to all!

I dont think it cures itself, it is just that you still have all those hormones going from pregnancy after you have the baby. I was doing great right after having my daughter. I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2001 and I had my daughter, Olivia, July 8th 2008. When she was about 7 months I notices my symptoms coming back from the PCOS. I am on the mini-pill for BC, but i dont think it is enough hormones to keep the PCOS in check. These babies are complete MIRACLES!

I have read that it can be cured.  I went on fertilty meds. and got pregnant first try and then I ended up miscarrying. Right when I was about to go back on fertilty meds again I found out I was pregnant with my daughter:) She was born May 12, 2007. When she was about 3 1/2 months I found out I was pregnant again! So both my kids were conceived naturally!! Which is so awesome! My periods did seem to be normal after my kids were born but only for a few months. I would suggest if you want to get pregnant easily try now! Its a lot easier to get pregnant! But thats a decision you and your husband would have to make. Goodluck with whatever you decide! If you want any advice or have any questions feel free to ask! :)

Hey, congratulations!!! I've never heard of it curing itself but i was told by my endocronologist that if you want another child then to try straight away as there is a brief period of time before it reverts back. Not really what you're thinking about having just had a baby but there you go. Have fun with Daisy and cherish every minute x
