My birthday is at the end of March, but we were talking about things after getting our holiday stuff. I was joking about how all I really wanted was sleep. Since I hate being touched by strangers, and dislike massages in general, a spa day is out. I just kind of need a break. I have a 2 year old, a 10 month old, we are TTC a third, I work part time and go to school part time, I don't get much sleep. I was saying how i'd love to just sleep for 12 hours straight without interuptions or anything. He came up with a great idea!

I said he'll send me to the Hilton in town for the night, where I can catch a movie downtown, shop or do whatever, head back to the hotel room and collapse in their nice soft king sized bed, spread out and SLEEP. I woudn't have to wake up every 2-3 hours to re-settle the baby or nurse, no toddler running around at 4:30am thinking it's time to get up. I can order room service for breakfast so I don't even have to get dressed to go down to the dining room for breakfast (though I most likely will, though I have a dream of being served blueberry pankcakes in bed). I am sooo excited at this possibility, it seems like such a GREAT idea for me, it would mean much more than any other trinket (because our budget is pretty tight) and it does a person good to recharge their batteries once in a while (I only feel a bit guilty that I want to get away from my husband and kids - even if it's for a day only!) I may even get my toenails done (or do them myself) in some funky colour, because I can't do my fingernails because of my job (uniform).

Any other suggestions of what a mom can do to relax on a 24 hr child strike? I'd love to have a handful of ideas (and since i'm not much of a shopper, or have a huge budget, nothing overly expensive) to fit into the day (until 8 or 9 pm when i'm sure i'll be exhausted and do my 12 hour sleep.)

Ah, not a wine fan though. Haven't had any alcohol in like 3 years, though a nice fruity mixed drink would be tasty, I don't think the bar delivers mixed drinks.. *sigh*

OOoooo.. I'll go to the bookstore downtown and buy a brand new sappy book (or whatever) and read without interuption.. I don't think i've read more than 10 pages straight since my first was born.. what an amazing idea (i'm such a bookworm.. I miss quiet times like that!)

I may even get some really fancy bathstuffs! Teehee.. Now i`m even more giddy!
