My 9 year old girl has started developing. I wonder if it's time to start explaining the facts of life. Does anyone have any books to help with the basics of development for girls?

Try "What's Happening to my body: Book for Girls" by lynda Madaras. My parents gave it to me when i was about 13 and it really has everything in it.

There is a book at Barnes and Noble called "Just for Girls". It's cute and looks like a little notebook. I got it for my daughter. It explains things on a level they can understand without freaking them out. (Cuz let's face it, puberty is tough enough!). My daughter loves her book...getting her to discuss it with me is another deal entirely though... She basically takes it off my desk, hides out and reads it!
