I decided last week after umming and erring over it for the past 11 months that i want another baby. I told hubby who looks suitably horrified but said he would think about it. I want to be pregnant again, i want to be able to experience that first cuddle and see that first smile again!! I obviously also don't want my son Thomas to be lonely when he grows up. He is so sociable that already i'm seeing signs of him feeling lonely at the moment when he doesn't have his friends or cousins around him.
I am wishing and hoping that hubby agrees because i really feel it is right for me.
Is anyone else feeling like this at the moment??

wellwhen my son luke was a few weeks old at his baptism i started having these strange seizures (i have a seizure disorder already) so we took me to the hospital and they did a cat scan and wanted to admit me and at the point no blood work yet cause they asked me if I thought I was pregnant and for us Luke was a ferltity treatment baby and that dr told us if we wanted another we would have to come back to go thur the same thing to have another baby, so I told this to the er techs and signed myself out cause luke was only 10-12 weeks old . So the next to make both my dad and husband happy I went and saw my neuro dr who told me to go home and just to be on the safe side take a at home test. Well I took alot of at home test cause the all came back positve and I kept on saying I cant be pregnant . So now I have my son who just turned 1 and my daughter who was born sept 17 2009 . she came in with a bang. Both Evelyn and Luke are 10 months apart and they are a handful . But I am very blessed because I also have 2 older kids my son who is 9 and a stepdaughter who is also 9 and they do alot around here to make things easier . Cause having 2 babies is wild and fun but it can wear you out if you are not prepared for it.

Hi All,

I just wanted to let you all know that HUBBY FINALLY SAID YES TO ANOTHER BABY!! I'm so happy i wanted to shout it out on the rooftops but thought Circle of Mum's would be a safer option lol.
Fingers crossed now we get pregnant really soon lol xx

Make sure that is really what he want and not just saying it to make you happy!  I hope all the luck in the world.  Just be careful he just might resent you for the extra stress.  That could start a whole new set of problems.

Best of luck to you and yours!

I am really suprised am I the only person who doesn't want another baby???
I really love babies, i am enjoying being a mum but it is enough for me: the labor was hard, giving birth was really difficult my LO was really a difficult chid during this year I suffered luck of sleep and esp the probem of the nunny (baby sitter). I find diffculties at my job. and also the money is really tight. so one child is really enough!!!!!

There is nothing wrong with not wanting more!  In fact I commend you for realizing how much stress it would be.  You go girl!  Spoil you little one and if you don't have more big deal!  At least you had one and survived (so far)

Enjoy you time its the only time you have!

I am feeling that but at the same time I want to spread them out a bit before putting too much stress on me or her. So I have resorted to playdates for now!

Like Andrea, ready or not we are having another one although we just found out. This baby will be here three months before our little girl turns two. This is how we had orginally wanted our children to be spaced but we had decided to wait and I was on BC. Just so others know, I got pregnant on the Nuvaring and so did one of my girlfriends.

ready or not, i'm having another one in may! i am excited though because my son needs a baby friend (he doesn't go to daycare) and he's been socializing so much with the dog his first word was "woof woof" even though we talk to him constantly.

I'm so happy for you and your hubby! Parenting is a wonderful adventure. My hubby and I have 4 children 2 boys ages 8 and 6 and 2 girls ages 4 and 1. We had another baby girl who we lost in Oct of 07 who would have been 2 this year. I also have custody of my little sister who is 14. So we have a very full, very busy house! But I wouldn't give it up for anything, I always wanted a big family with lots of children! I still get that feeling of wanting another baby but thats not in the cards right now, we think eventually we will have one more. So, wishing you all the luck concieving and hoping you have an easy pregnancy!

i want another baby so bad, but money is really tight right now and we couldn't afford another baby and my son is at an awesome age he's walking and getting into everything, and i want to enjoy him for another few months before we have another one. my friend has a baby and he does so good with her and like you he loves when his cousins and friends are around but that's not gonna make my decision for me. i had an awesome pregnancy and can't wait to experience it again but i'm gonna wait til next september or october to start trying.

OMG yes, my husband and I have been trying for the last 5 months! We want to have our second before our son is 2.

My baby turned to be one last Thursday. it was really great. We are planning to have our second very soon. The problem is that I am working mom and currently writing my master thesis but still I don’t want to postpone it. It is really very important that they are close together as I had the same experience with my sister. Wish me luck

Congrats on the hubby's okay. It is nice having kids close together my oldest 3 are a total of 37 1/2 months apart and now they are 11, 10, and 8. I also have one that just turned one. I am now enjoying just having 1 little one this time around, but yes I also do get baby fever.

I would love to have another little baby. Fortunately, close friends of ours have a baby who's just hit three months that I get to borrow occasionally to get my baby fix. Financially, we're not secure enough to even consider bringing another child into the world. But I'm sure you ladies understand the baby fever that our boyfriends/husbands just don't seem to get. We are planning on having another child, but want to be sure we're able to provide for him/her, and that our son(currently 11 months) will be old enough to understand why Mommy can't pick him up, or may have to stay in the hospital(my first pregnancy I was on bedrest for 10 weeks, and spent 6 of them in a hospital two hours from home). So unfortunately, probably not for another 3-4 years.

We always knew that we wanted at least two, and wanted them around 2 years apart. We're planning on trying again in the spring. I'm really enjoying the age that my son is now and it's scary to think about all of the struggles of taking care of a newborn again, only this time there'll be a toddler running around too, but I'm beyond excited to have another child, and so is my husband.

We have a boy turning 4 in Dec., the other boy turning 1 in Nov., and another on the way. Just found out I was pregnant recently. We planned it too. We want 3 children and want them close in age. It will definitely be a challenge, but being able to do things with all 3 of them will be great. For example, going to amusement parks. I am nervous about it, but I think it'll be alright. Also, we are in our early 30's and I don't want to wait too much longer.

Unfortunately, money and timing is an issue for some people. I think it is very important to be able to afford to take care of a baby and think of their future. So rushing it isn't always best.

Good luck to you!

I love babies. When my son was less than a month old I was already talking about another. I'd rather wait a little bit but I live in a small town and everyone around me is expecting so it is hard to not have the baby fever! I think we will start trying this summer so we can have an April or May baby! Chinese calendar predicts a baby girl so that already gets me excited!

My husband and I just started trying for our second child as well. My daughter will be a year old on Nov. 25th. It took a while for my husband to agree to baby number one so when he started talking about having a second I was thrilled. We want our daughter to have a brother or sister to grow up with.

I have just been considering it seriously, too. I have just one and am ready for another. My husband told me when he graduates we can start trying again. I guess that's at the end of December but it still seems too far away. I'm a happy pregnant. I love every single step.

I had those feelings after my 1st was around 10 months so we went for it and we conceived our 2nd on the first try. So I found out I was pregnant about 2 weeks before my oldest 1st birthday. So now I have a 2 1/2 year old an 11 month old. I love it! I love that they are close in age. Sure it's challenging (especially in the beginning) at times but I wouldn't trade it in for anything! We are done though so I'm not having those feelings this time around. My husband went and had a vasectomy just a couple weeks ago.
