It is recomended not to feed babies in the middle of the night because of their teeth. But sometimes I just cant go threw it. My son has his meals during the day but about 3 out of 7 nights he wakes up hungry. And he is unconsolable. So I give in and feed him. Any ideas on how I can avoid this?

He gets baby food and a bottle before bed, but for some reason he still wakes up hungry. He is 9 months old, and we currently share a room, so I cant let him just cry it off because Im trying to sleep as well. My mom said she fed me when I was hungry at night. I just want to do whats right.

Sometimes I think this is just habit what about a drink of water or juice whatever you would normally give him to drink during the day other than milk. He may then get used to the fact he gets milk in the day time.

i have spoken to a midwife cause my son started needing a feed at night again and she said its normal for babies to start needing a night feed again and its ok up to the age of 1 how old is your son? if you dont want to bring back a night feed try giving him his solid food closer to bed time so he stays full longer :)
