My little girl is 2 months and will not stop crying. I has changed her formula, bottles....everything that you can possible do. My doctor told me she has gas colic. Anyone have any ideas on how to help her cope with her gas.

Has anyone suggested that it could be acid reflux? My little girl was VERY gassy the first few months so that confused the diagnosis of acid reflux, but she does have it. Google 'infant acid reflux, baby acid reflux, GERD to see if she fits in with the symptoms. You can also go to You Tube to see video's of babys with acid reflux and of doctors explaining what it is.

There were also good videos on You Tube about tummy massage and helping babies to release gas, just search gassy baby, baby with gas infant with gas. Good luck.

One more thing...when he had really bad gas I would let him sleep on his stomach (supervised of course). It really helped him to get the gas up. And sitting her on your lap with you're hand on her tummy, lean her forward a little to put pressure on her belly and pat her back. That always got the worst of the burps up.

Hello, My daughter is 2 months old and she got colic/gas when she was 4 weeks old. I didn't change her milk because the doctor told me not . The doctor told me to put a warme comprass on her stomach. I also gave her something called Gripe Water it is harmless its helps relieve the gas (it helped alot). When your holding the baby sometimes it helps to put your hands around the stomach and but a little pressure on the stomach my daughter fell a sleep like this. Make sure her formula is always warm it helps with gas. I did all these things and after a few weeks it wasn't so bad. But I know what your dealing with

Have you tried gripe water, infant mylicon or diluted chamomile tea? My son didn't have colic but my step son did. When my son started having gas problems my husband told me he used to use 2 cups of water to one tea bag of natural non-caffinated chamomile tea. Just an ounce or so did the job. Gripe water works great too (make sure there is no alcohol in it). I didn't use it but others have said Good Start formula worked great for colic.
