Hi! My baby is 10 weeks old. We were breast feeding only until about 3 weeks ago. Now I am doing both. How many ounces are other babies eating at each feeding who are about 10 weeks?? And how long until you feed again? Thanks!! ~Kristin

Hi Kristin. My little girl is 10 weeks as well. I was bf only until Becky and I got Thrush really bad and I just couldn't bare the pain for all the feedings. We started with formula for about half of her feedings about 3 to 4 weeks ago and she is taking anywhere between 2 1/2 and 5 ounces at a feeding. It all depends on whether she wants more milk from me or the bottle (she knows what she wants already and she has let mw know that she prefers most feedings to be formula -LOL - she has a heart murmur and it is easier for her ot eat out of the bottle). During the day she takes 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 ounces and is sleeping for about 1 1/2 hours (awake for 2 hours in between naps). At night she eats anywhere between 3 and 5 ounces and sleeps for 5 to 6 hours at a time (in bed by 8, up at 1, in bed by 2, up at 7 - or there abouts). Have you tried to get into a routine yet?

Hi Kristin, congrats on your beautiful baby!!

My son is 8 weeks old now. I've been breastfeeding all along but i've had to start topping him up with formula for his last feed at night. I give him both barrels (as my hubby says lol) and then make up 3 oz of formula. Sometimes he'll take 1 oz and other's he'll take 2 oz, depends on how he's feeling. I would suggest the first few times make more than you think you need and just pay attention to what he is taking. He'll stop when he's ready and if he takes too much then he'll spit some out. At leats then you'll find out from him how much he wants. Sorry i can't be more helpful but i've only just started topping up myself in the last week. Hope all goes well x
