My daughter's 1st birthday falls on thanksgiving this year but I still want to have a party for her. My apartment isn't big enough to host a party and we have cold winters so I need some clever ideas! THANKS

My daughters is on thanksgiving also this year. Her older brothers is the month before so I'm actually thinking of having a combined party earlier in the month. We have a rec center with a play area that's good for kids aged 1- 10 that has an adjoining room you can rent for parties (so the adults have a place to hang out too). If your local mall has a nice indoor play area they usually let you rent a space in the food court for the party. A lot of it depends on what the adult to kid ratio is. If your daughter is the first and only sibling and/ or grandkid and you aren't having any other kids you can do it at a restaurant , if there are going to be other kids you can go to one of those indoor jump/ play areas, the local rec center, the mall play area. If you have a family member in town who has a big enough house maybe you could work out a deal to host it at their house or use your or a family members apartment clubhouse. My sister used to do her boys birthdays at the clubhouse of the apartment complex she used to live in. If you have one they're handy.
