Hi everyone. I have a 9 month old son who was born IUGR due, we believe, to a placental abruption. He is a great kid and he had a developmental screen at 6 monthes and it went great. We are seeing his doctor that he had in the NICU and she is great, makes me feel at ease, but I am wonderring if I should be asking for special services, seeing an endocrinologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, etc. I dont want to be a worry wart and my guy seems to be doing great, all whooping 14 lbs of him, but also want to advocate for him early on. Tips? Also, we live in Portland Oregon.

Hi Leslie,
You posted this last year, but I am just wondering how you and your son are doing. We live in Portland, OR and we had an IUGR boy in January. He's 8 months and is close to 17 lbs. I would love to chat if you get this!
