Dry hair :(

Does anyone else have dry hair due to hard water? What do you use to make it soft and silky again?

DOVE INTENSE THERAPY "DAMAGE CONTROL" I have long, thick hair and we have well water so I have HORRIBLE after shower hair, but I've been using this for two weeks now and can tell a huge difference, my hair is soft and smooth and doesn't tangle or break as easily

henna will make dry hair soft and silky there is henna that won't add any color to your hair that's what women in the Morocco use on their hair

Mayonaise... really! Even popular models use this secret. Put a whole jar of mayo on your hair and let it soak into your scalp for 30-60 minutes, won't harm your hair no matter how long it's on. The key is that you have to rinse with Dawn dishwashing soap, because Mayo is mainly oil. But I garantee your hair will fill completely rejuvenated.... ENJOY!

You might think this odd, but I was watching a Dr. Oz episode and he recommended a mashed banana treatment directly once a week to the hair for 15 minutes then rinse and shampoo and conditioner as you would normally do. The mashed banana has potassium that allows back the moisture and nutrients the constant hairstyling we women like to do (blowdrying, I also use flat-iron twice a week) take away. Hope this helps.

I live in an area that has very hard water. Since I have curly hair it does become very dry. I use Pantene plus I have to condition my hair every time I shampoo. I have also found that mixing a little downy in a spray bottle with water helps give you hair extra softness.

I've heard of this tablet thing you can put into your shower head nozzle which balances the water. I suggest looking into that?

Do a deep conditioning treatment once per week. I've heard a vinegar rinse makes hair shinier & softer, but never tried. I really don't like the smell...

they say that Dove shampoo and conditioner gives back nutrients that are normally taken out by water, maybe you can try that and see.
