potty training

my little one turns 2 in feb, and i am having dramas with potty training, she'll sit on on the potty with a nappy on, but other than that she isnt too interested. i think she does understand when she is going to the toilet though, as she normally lets us know.

any tips to help with the whole potty training ordeal?

don't get frustrated and don't push it, that was my big mistake was i forced my daughter to try and then she regressed and stopped using the potty all together. they will use the potty when they are ready. one thing i did get my daughter in a habit of was she had to use the potty before she had a bath if she didn't she wasn't allowed to get in the bath. we are now using that method with my son who will be 2 in a couple of weeks and he is so proud when he pees in the potty. but i have learned from my mistakes and i'm not going to force it. It takes time but it will happen.

My three year old daughter started saying she had to go potty at 18 months . Now needless to say she rarely went , but she did go sometimes . As big as a hassle it can be sometimes I took her everytime she said she had to go , even if we were in a store or gas station , and if we were in the car I would find somewhere for us to pull over and go in . I was a single mom at the time so i didnt inconvience anyone else it was my time that it took up . But I understand not everyone can take that uch time to focus on it and that is completely acceptable . But with my method I had her COMPLETELY potty trained by her second bday ! Good luck and dont give up as frustrating as it gets !!!
