Sorry you are having so much trouble, I think every child differs so much with potty training, my son has known how to use the potty since he was about 20 months old but rarely ever does anything in it. He knows how to stand or sit and wipe, he just doesnt do it when he actually has to go. My only suggestion is to just be patient, he will do it when hes ready.

my daughter who is now 4 was fully potty trained just before her second birthday, My 2 1/2 yr old, is semi potty trained, she knows when she has to go, and uses the potty some times but she still pees in her pull up, I tried putting underwear on her and letting her sit in them wet, she will cry for the first few minutes, but after that she just goes about her normal play. It is very frustrating. I was trying to have her potty trained before my son was born, well that didn't happen. he was born in august and i'm stll trying to get her to go on the potty. we have tried stickers, gummy bears, letting her pick out the big girl underwear. still not potty trained, it just comes down to if they are fully ready and willing to go

My nephew was over 3 years old before he showed any interest. They tried everything to get him to go on the potty. He was in a wedding and at the reception he told his mom that he wanted to go on the potty and he did and has been going ever since. That was in the beginning of the year and he hasn't had one accident. Now he sleeps with underwear and everything. As his aunt I think that he needs to be more supervised when he goes cause he doesn't always make it in the water, but I'd say he's doing pretty good.

I am going through the same thing with my son that is 3. I'm pretty relaxed about it because I just feel that at some point he will show interest. We take him in to go potty when he is interested and he will go in with my husband or I when we go. He will sit on his potty chair but he doesn't really have an interest to go potty, just to play with the chair...and maybe that is a first step. They all take different strides. My daughter potty trained SO easily but she was in daycare too and saw the other kids doing the same. We tried treats with my son but then he would get smart and just say he needed to go potty just to get a sticker or treat. I just try to close my ears to friends and family that have kids younger than mine that are potty trained already. My husband has a hard time with it but I know that if you push it they will resist or learn and fall back. My brother did that...was potty trained and then regressed and ended up having to wear a diaper at night up until he was about 5. So, I guess I am not any help but to say just keep encouraging your son to use the potty but try not to stress him out about it...or yourself!

my mom told me to put the potty in the living room, and DONT LET THEM wear a diaper anymore! put them in an old thick pair of sweats and underwear and let them pee in them. let them sit in it for a few minuits( she recommended 1/2 an hour) untill it gets really uncomfortable (cold, wet, heavy pants) and then point them to the potty and tell them that if they dont want to run around in wet pants that thier other option is the potty.she said a kid will only do it a few times before they will go to the potty. she had me and my sister trained in 2 days each. hopefully it works for u! good luk and let me know how it goes, as my daughter is about to start potty training next week!

I also am scared that if I do get her potty trained before her brother comes along she might fail on me and go back to the pull ups once hes born. I feel as if I have failed and Im embarressed to tell people shes still not potty trained. sorry I cant be much help but if I come accross a mirical trick ill be sure to tell the whole world. lol

How old is he? When my son was not quite 3 1/2, that's when he decided that he was ready to be potty-trained. (He potty-trained once before at just over 2 1/2, but it didn't last) Anyway, we let him have stickers to put on a "potty chart" every time he went to the bathroom. After so many stickers, then he would get a small treat (like a starburst or something). he was so excited to do that, that he went about every 5 minutes the first couple of days! (And he actually went, even if it was only a couple of drops! But, that let me know that he "knew" how to do it by himself!)

I was wanting to potty-train my son before I had my 3rd child, but I only had a couple of months left at that point, and so I decided to wait until after, so that he didn't regress. If it gets to that point, I would wait until after. I was changing 3 sets of diapers for a month...but I'm glad that I waited. Good luck!
