My son Jamin is a preemie he was born November 1st 2010 and was supposed to be due Febuary 15 2011 he was born at 24 weeks weighed 1lb 5 oz and 11 inches long! He spent 5 months in the NICU and when he came home he weighed 5lbs 2oz! He only spent a week at home and was hospitalized again and we spent another 4 months in the Stollery children's hospital! After that he's been in and out! He is now 15 months weighs 12lbs and is 24 inches long, his abilities are that of a baby of about 2 months! He is blind, deaf, has bowl problems, has a shunt for hydrocephalus, is still on Oxygen and feeds by a feeding tube implanted in his tummy! He is back in hospital for more surgery right now number 14, he is a handfull but his dad and I and his 2 brothers and 2 sisters love him very much!

So glad to hear she's doing well. Welcome to the group. My daughter was born 11-19 only a few days early. I just had her in for her 9 month check up and she's up to 20 lbs now. I also have a 3 year old daughter who loves to play with her baby sister (play with, steal toys from, push around, drag where she wants her to go - if I'm not careful, etc.) We just had to pull out the baby gates to keep the little one from trying to crawl down the stairs all the time.
