Ok my fathers son is a dead beat dad.. Ok yeah he pays child support but getting ready to take me back to court to take it away because my son gets SSI..anyways my son is in Pre K this year again and will start Heat Start in Sept.. My son has a lot of delays and gets speech from school.. He was in EI for three years( mind you I was the one who stayed home and did it with him) so anyways.. I had a meeting set for us to meet his teacher and speech and make a plan for what we want Trenton to try to be at the end of year.. So I call and tell him about it and he tells me you deal with it. Ill meet them another day.. well they don't like to have 5 different meetings.. why can't you just show up like a man and a father and go.. Grow some balls for real.. My son also has some medical problems too that needed to be told.. NO he wasn't there for that either.. Hes so stupid that all hes doing is hurting him self.. Im making a new folder for all this and if he doesn't man up Im gonna file papers for him to sign his rights over since he seems like he just doesn't care.. he just wants to be a SHOW DAD..
Am I wrong to feel this? And his gf doesn't help any at all.. they will have to do something bc we are moving in with my BF and they all live in the same town.. I just can't handle it anymore.. if you don't care about him then just leave us be.. He wouldn't even help pay for his son to see a denist.. what the hell.. it upsets me.. What should I do?

Well unfortunately, the only thing you can really do is fight for more in court. Just remember that if he signs over his rights, you're not eligible for child support. It sucks that you're having to deal with it on your own. Motherhood is hard enough, and on top of that you have a child with special needs. It's definitely not easy, but kudos to you for being the best mom you can be.
