Hi, I'm a new mom, my DD is almost 5 months old! I have been running since I was 14, though I had to take a break while pregnant (complications). I'm slowly trying to get back to where I was before pregnancy. I'm looking for some jogging stroller recommendations. I really need the best value for my dollar. Can anyone recommend a good stroller for a reasonable price?

Try checking on Craigslist or returnsforsale.com. That's where I got my BOB Sport Utility double stroller. Love it!

I researched for a really long time, became annoyed and just bought the jogging stroller from target. It was $100. I LOVE IT. I think the most important part is how it lines up to your body when your actually running. I'm tall and I really try to focus on posture when running, the strap and handle bar has to fit you, if not you'll be reaching or holding your back in an un-natural position. Front wheel must be locking/un-locking. Other than that, it's nice to have a drink holder with a covered compartment (so your keys and Ipod don't get wet) beside it. I've had mine and use it year round(4-5 days a week) for three years now.

The price might not be that reasonable but the BOB revolution is amazing. I love mine and it handels well on both the smooth surface at the park and all of the potholes on the New Orleans streets. It is also good for off roading and just as an everyday stroller. I think it is worth the price, but I did get it as a gift from my running crazed mother-in-law, who researched the running stroller to death. Hope that helps ad good luck!

Assuming that your purpose on this jogging stroller is mainly for exercise/jogging, you might want to check Jeep Overland. It's a fixed front wheel single jogging stroller that comes with flexible handle bar that can be adjusted according to the jogger's height. Though it doesn't come with car seat adapter, it provide a relatively roomy legs space that can accommodate baby's growth for years to come. Here's the link in case you want to find out further objective reviews and clearer images: http://jogging-stroller-reviews.net/jeep...
Fyi, a baby should at least have a stable neck control/be able to sit unassisted before s/he can be put on a jogging stroller for a ride (around 8-12 m.o, the case is different for each baby)

I have the single Chariot and I love it!!! Its a smooth ride, has lots of storage space, folds down to take anywhere, and you can use it for jogging, walking, hiking or even skiing. (with the different attachments) It may be a little more expensive, but I checked it out on Craigslist, and they seem to keep their value. Also great bug and rain shields.

I have to say I love my Bob, I have a Sport Utility that I found used for $100.  I wish it was a revolution but I just could not afford it or find one used.  I work out with several women 3x a week aside from my solo runs and the other favorite is the Phil & Ted Stroller that can easily adjust to a double by adding the lower seat.  I agree with checking otu Craigslist or your local yardsale.com site.  I found my stroller at Lejeuneyardsale.com and they seem to have yardsale sites everywhere now.

Is that the Baby Trend? Do you know if it's compatible with a Graco carseat, or how I can find out? I'm registered for that one, due in 5 weeks (!). I really can't afford the $300-400 range, but will be using daily, for walks at first with the dog and new baby, and then later for runs. I've read reviews on the stroller that were pretty mixed.

I also have the Bob Revolution stroller. I did alot of research also and tried out many strollers. I liked this one because the front wheel either swivels or locks in place depending on how fast you are running. I also live on the beach and take it there often it does great. It is also very light and folds compact for easy storage in your car. Also the sun visor extends all the way over the seat to keep wind and sun out. It is worth every penny!

I have a single Chariot and a double BOB Ironman.  They are both nice, but I think the Chariot is much easier to push and gives the kids a smoother rider.  The one bad thing about the Chariot is that the kids sit really low and can't see as much as they can in the BOB Ironman.  I would really recommend watching craigslist for a good deal.  I got both of my strollers from craigs list and paid less than 1/2 of retail price and each stroller had hardly been used.  Good luck.
