10 Year old Daughter soils pants.

I'm new to this site and thought I'd put this out there to see if anyone has experienced anything similar to our situation. Looking for any suggestions. Long story short...My DD is 10 and was diagnosed with Encopresis about 3 to 4 years ago. She is physically healthy. We've tried EVERYTHING from reward charts to laxatives. We can't seem to find anything that will motivate her to at least make an effort to solve the issue. We are currently in therapy and as soon as I think we're making some progress, she regresses. Any thoughts or experiences that would be helpful? Currently she loses priveledges like TV and Ipod if she just leaves soiled pants in bathroom trash. We're trying to work the communication and responsiblity angle. She also has to pay for her own underwear when she runs out. Any constructive input would be greatly appreciated. She has been VERY lucky so far in that she has never been teased or bullied. I'm afraid her time is running out as she will be in middle school next year. We just can't figure it out.

Hello Mary, have you had any luck? We have a 8 year old going through a very similar thing. I wanted to know what you tried? What worked what did not? Can you help?

Have you looked at food sensitivities? The low Fodmap diet helped our son immediately.
