bulling kid with a disability, How do I teach my child not to be mean to this other child?

My son is in 1st grade. His class size is only 9 of these nine only 3 are girls. Most of the boys in his class he has been in class with for 2 years of preschool then kinder. and 1st. One of the boys in this class has some disabilities with speech, drooling, running, and he has a bigger head(I don't remember the name of his diagnosis). I know children are going to make comments at some point but they are now in the 1st grade and I would think by now they would be used to him and be nice. My son along with the other boys don't include him in playground activities, say mean things, and don't want to sit by him. This boy is so nice and I just want my child to treat him with respect how do I teach my child that yes he may be different from him but he still has feelings and he should respect them.

Hello dear, i guess we all moms go though these events to help our kids understand the magnanimous universe, so many different creatures with their skills, abilities and disabilities are here to create a wonderful ecosystem. Only when we introduce them the concept of belongingness and respect for everything around will they understand it better. There is a few hours course called artexcel (all around training in excellence) for kids, which addresses all these issues and more, its wonderful and i have heard many good things about it. To find a location close to where ever you stay visit, artofliving.org and find for artexcel course.

First of all, I would advise you to set your child down and talk with him. Ask him how he would like it if he was different and some other children teased him. Try to get him to think how the other child feels, ask your child to view the teasing from the other child's viewpoint.
