Has anyone ever had placenta left in them after birth and have to get it scraped out(DNC)?

I had a c-section(emergency ,so i was put to sleep) and had placenta left in me. I did not know about it till I started bleeding like crazy about a month later. They then did some test and descovered it. They did a DNC(were they scrap the placenta out out of you). This caused scaring in my tubes. So now one of my tubes is blocked . So I run the risk of having a tubal pregnancy if I get pregnant. The doctors told me that I can have surgery to remove the scaring but that this is not 100% efective . I still maybe at risk . I am wondering if this has happened to anyone else and what steps have you took??? Did you have the surgery? Where you able to have kids safely again?

I had to have 2 d&cs after the birth of my first child. I went on to have 2 more children.

had a late term miscarriage (161/2 weeks) and and bled for almost a month afterwords (like a light period) finally had a DNC and have had 3 healthy, full term pregnancies since...if you are planning on having more just be sure you see the doctor early and let them know exactly what you experienced...good luck=0)

I had a little bit of the placenta left inside and bled lots but quite soon after the delivery so they managed to press my tummy with enough force to expel what was left...painful but didnt need dnc. I know my aunt needed a dnc after a miscarriage but not sure of details...but maybe others may have had similar worries after miscarriage rather than placenta problems...and might have info for you.

:) sorry, cant help but hope it works out for you.
