Spelling tips well it may sound funny to some but if you have your child write the words once and then record him or herself saying the words then writing them again while listening it helps...its a good tool ..my child gets A's in spelling just in doing that. It works for older kids as well when studying for a big test. They can read what they study but record it first. Listen and get that A..hope it helps

My chem teacher from high school always told me to "say it, spell it, say it three times each and you will never forget it". I used this with my kids and they r pretty good spellers

not sure how old the child is your asking for, but with my daughter (she's 7) we make a game out of it. I will spell the words and she has to tell me what word it is. she also writes them 4 times each the first day she gets her words for the week and then 3 times the next day and ect.

This one works for older kids better but I have tried it out with her a few times. Have them write the words with the opposite hand they write with a few times each. That way they concentrate on the letters more.
